In my first year of college in 2019, I took my very first drawing class where I learned how to draw from still-life’s using charcoal. It was during this time that I fell in love with the idea of becoming an artist.
CHARCOAL
Another college course I took called “Intro to Fibers” taught me things like the basics of using a sewing machine, needle pointing, embroidery stitches, and even a technique using wool called “needle felting”. Though very time consuming, I now love embroidering painted canvas with thread and beads to add detail, texture, and FUN to a piece!
EMBROIDERY AND FIBERS
One of my favorite things is when someone comes to me with an idea for a project they want help with. Over time, my lovely and supportive family and friends have requested help with different things- from book illustrations to wedding decor… the possibilities are endless and I always have so much fun with these projects!

Another dear cousin who wrote a short story about his son and mom, wanted help illustrating the story so he could turn it into a little story book as a gift to the two of them. Such a thoughtful and unique idea for a gift!

Experimenting with new techniques, tools, and materials is one of my favorite things! I never know how its going to turn out or what hurdles I’ll have to jump along the way. I always learn so much from the process and have so much fun!
